Ventilator Intensive Mechanical ventilation involves a lot of information at once. Settings, monitored values, modes, pressures, waveforms, blood gases, alarms, and the patient's changing clinical condition all need to be interpreted together. The Ventilator Intensive is a four-week practical program that helps clinicians make sense of that information and apply it at the bedside. You'll work through: Reading and interpreting the ventilator screen Oxygenation and ventilation ABGs and respiratory physiology Modes, settings, and monitored values Work of breathing and patient-ventilator interaction Pressures, waveforms, compliance, resistance, and auto-PEEP Lung-protective ventilation Clinical interventions and changing patient conditions Ventilator alarms and troubleshooting The program combines flexible online learning with the Ventilator Simulator, where you'll work through rapid drills, focused labs, full patient cases, and alarm scenarios with immediate feedback. You'll also participate in live online sessions with experienced ventilator clinicians to work through cases, discuss difficult concepts, and ask questions. The focus isn't on memorizing every ventilator mode or setting. It's on understanding the physiology, recognizing what is happening with the patient and ventilator, and knowing what information matters when something changes.
